Nigeria forward, Simon Moses, on Sunday scored his third goal of the season for his  Belgian club, Gent,  who defeated Zulte Waregem 3-0.

Moses scored  the second goal in the match in which his Super Eagles’ teammate  Kingsley Madu was on the losing side.

Malian Kalifa Coulibaly scored the first goal in the 18th minute with Moses creating the assist while Moses got his goal in the 78th minute off a Hannes Van Der Bruggen assist. Van Der Bruggen completed the rout in the 82nd minute.

The win took Gent to fourth place in the league with 18 points from 10 matches while Waregem are still topping the league with 20 points from 10 matches.

Moses’ previous two goals came in Gent’s 2-2 draw with Anderlecht in August and their 3-0 win over Lokeren in September.

The winger featured in the Super Eagles 2-1 victory over Zambia in their first match of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers in Ndola on October 9.

In Germany, Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, was unnamed for Mainz 05 in their 2-1 win over Darmstadt 98 on Sunday. The defender returned from an injury, which ruled him out for two weeks.

In Turkey, former Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emejike, played for 64 minutes against Kenneth Omeruo’s Alayaspor. Omeruo played for the entire duration of the match, which ended 1-1.
